The shampoo formula combines mild-origin surfactants (decyl glucoside, cocamidopropyl betaine) with sodium coco sulfate. Although sodium coco sulfate is a natural-origin cleansing agent and safe in the concentrations allowed in cosmetics, it is still more active than the ultra-mild bases intended for newborn care.
That is why the age recommendation "3+" is indicated on the packaging. It is the manufacturer's choice based on a responsible safety policy and the peculiarities of scalp development at an early age.
